Abstract: In order to find out the influence of ore properties on mineral processing indexes, the min⁃ eral composition, content and distribution characteristics of main minerals of a foreign iron ore were stud⁃ ied by chemical multi-element analysis, phase analysis and MLA analysis. The process mineralogy results show that Fe is the main target element in the ore with a grade of 39.09%,mainly occurring in magnetite,li⁃ monite and hematite.Quartz is the main gangue mineral, followed by pyroxene, garnet and other silicate minerals, and the content of other minerals is relatively low. The process particle size of useful iron miner⁃ als magnetite and limonite is coarse-grained,the disseminated particle size of hematite is fine, and the crys⁃ tal particle size of main gangue mineral quartz is coarse-grained.According to the mineralogy properties of the process,it is suggested to adopt stage grinding and magnetic-gravity combined beneficiation processing.
