Abstract: In order to better recycle an iron ore in Anhui, the process mineralogy of the ore was stud⁃ ied. The results show that the iron grade of the iron ore is 37.85%,which is low sulfur, high phosphorus and semi-self-melting ore. The useful iron minerals are mainly magnetite, accounting for 85.19% of the to⁃ tal iron. The ore structure mainly includes massive structure and layered structure. The ore structure mainly includes granular structure, inclusion structure, metasomatic structure, spot structure, disseminated struc⁃ ture and flake and squamous structure. The useful iron mineral magnetite is fine-grained disseminated, and the distribution rate is 77.03% at -0.07 mm. The secondary mineral hematite crystal size is smaller,al⁃ most all distributed in -0.07 mm grain size. The disseminated grain sizes of carbonate and mica in the main gangue minerals are coarse, and the distribution rates at +0.07 mm are 65.28% and 55.02% respectively. The magnetite in the iron ore should be recycled by the process of discarding coarse-grained magnetic sepa⁃ ration-grinding-low intensity magnetic separation-grinding-low intensity magnetic separation.
