Abstract: Based on the results of 3D laser scanning，the structural plane characteristics of slope rock mass in an open-pit mine was identified.The mechanical parameters of slope stability were obtained by in⁃ verse analysis.On this basis，stereographic projection method and limit equilibrium method were used to an⁃ alyze the stability and failure mode of stope slope.The results showed that the differentiation degree of slope rock mass was generally breezy，the quality of rock mass was good，the mechanical index is high，and the slope was generally stable.The local stability of the slope was mainly controlled by the joint plane.Collapse occurred at the foot of the lower slide body.
