Abstract: Homogeneous sandstone widely exists in the crust and is the most common natural geologi⁃ cal body in the process of underground resource exploitation. Mastering the mechanical properties and pa⁃ rameter evolution law of homogeneous sandstone is of key value for the safe exploitation of underground re⁃ sources. Taking the common homogeneous sandstone in coal mining as the research object, the creep fail⁃ ure characteristics of homogeneous sandstone under different static load levels were obtained by uniaxial creep test. The viscoelastic parameters are obtained by parameter estimation method, and the evolution law and characteristics of viscoelastic parameters are obtained. The results show that under different static loads, the creep failure characteristics of homogeneous sandstone are quite different. The greater the Max⁃ well viscosity, the more likely the sample is to be damaged. The samples with lower viscosity are more like⁃ ly to produce greater creep deformation and failure in a longer time domain due to their strong flow ability.
