Abstract: In order to reduce the operation cost of iron ore concentrator and improve the utilization rate of iron ore resources，based on the grinding characteristics of fine grinding operation and the grinding characteristics of new ceramic grinding medium，the important use direction of new ceramic grinding medium is obtained through experiments. Improving the filling rate of medium can be applied to the fine grinding operation of domestic iron ore concentrator. Industrial application shows that the new ceramic grinding medium has obvious advantages in energy saving and consumption reduction compared with steel balls， and the cost reduction effect is remarkable. It also has positive significance in improving the particle size distribution of fine grinding products.
