Abstract: Hekou Copper Deposit is located in southern margin of Kangdian axis,and clamped between Honghe fault and Shuitang-Manbeng-Yuangjiang fault,which characterized by complicated geological structure,magma development and superior metallogenic condition.The regional geological background,geological characteristics of the mine and mineralization law are analyzed,combined with some related geological prospecting results of the mining area.The results show that:①the ore-bodies are mainly occurred in the green schist in Mangganghe Formation (Pt₁dm¹) and the marble in Feiweihe Formation (Pt₁df³),and the typical sedimentary-hydrothermal reformation type ore structures are developed,which including disseminated structure,vein structure and poikilitic structure;②the deposit are strictly controlled by the lithofacies paleogeography,formation,strata,and the ore-bearing strata is usually developed the volcanic eruption-sedimentary rhythm as follows:sodium-variant lava→carbonate→volcanic tuff from up to down in the deposit,with the increasing of deposited material and enrichment of mineralization;③the northern section of deposit has developed the volcanic-sedimentary mineralization,characterized by stable ore-bearing,favorite continuity and large scale.Besides,the southern section has developed the metamorphic hydrothermal-reform mineralizaiton,characterized by complicated morphology of ore-bodies and centralized rich ores.Based on the above analysis results,it is further indicated that the southern Xiyakou area,the occurrence of strata and tectonic in northern section mining area and Tabaqing area can be regard as the favorable further prospecting sections.
