Experimental Study on Desulfurization and Quality Improvement of Iron Concentrate from Jinling Iron Mine

Abstract: The TFe content of iron concentrate in Jinling Iron Mine is 64.80%,and the harmful ele⁃ ment S content is 0.44%. The desulfurization and upgrading test of the iron concentrate was carried out. With MK-S as activator and MK-207 as collector,the grade of S was reduced from 0.44% to 0.10% after one roughing and three cleaning desulfurization flotation. The desulfurization concentrate was ground to -0.038 mm accounting for 90%. Under the condition that the magnetic induction intensity of roughing was 200 mT and the magnetic induction intensity of cleaning was 160 mT,the concentrate with TFe grade of 69.55%,S grade of 0.08% and TFe recovery of 90.73% was obtained by one roughing and one cleaning low intensity magnetic separation. The research results can provide reference for desulfurization and up⁃ grading of iron concentrate.
