Study on Identification of Dangerous Characteristics of Zinc Hypoxide Rotary Kiln Slag in a Factory in Shaoguan,Guangdong

Abstract: In order to improve the efficiency of environmental management of solid waste in the pro⁃ cess of resource utilization,aiming at the problem that the kiln slag produced in the process of resource uti⁃ lization of zinc-containing soot in a factory in Shaoguan,Guangdong Province cannot be accurately man⁃ aged,the risk characteristics of the solid waste kiln slag derived from the volatilization of zinc hypoxide ro⁃ tary kiln are analyzed. By analyzing the main components of raw and auxiliary materials,process flow and production links,the theoretical analysis and dangerous characteristic test of possible dangerous character⁃ istics are carried out.The results show that the kiln slag produced by the reasonable compatibility of zinc�containing ash with other raw and auxiliary materials does not have the risk characteristics of corrosion, flammability,reactivity,leaching toxicity,toxic substances and acute toxicity. It is not a hazardous waste and can be managed according to general solid waste.
