Abstract: In order to efficiently develop and utilize magnesite resources, aiming at the problems of close symbiosis of impurity minerals, small crystal structure difference, low low-temperature separation ef⁃ ficiency and strict environmental protection requirements in the beneficiation process, the research on mag⁃ nesite flotation collector and enhanced separation technology is systematically carried out.The mechanism and application effects of positive flotation(fatty acids, modified phosphates),reverse flotation(anionic, cationic)and new combined collectors are reviewed. The core advantages of combined collectors in improv⁃ ing low temperature adaptability and selectivity through synergistic adsorption effect are clarified. The tech⁃ nical breakthroughs in desilication and decalcification, improvement of concentrate grade and recovery rate by strengthening technologies of step-by-step flotation, ultrasonic pretreatment, microbial pretreat⁃ ment and magnetic flotation combination are analyzed. It is concluded that the current collectors have some problems, such as insufficient selectivity, poor industrialization adaptability of some technologies, and en⁃ vironmental protection performance to be improved. In the future, researchers should focus on the research and development of targeted environmental friendly collectors, the exploration of adsorption mechanism at the molecular level and the construction of multi-field coupling separation system,so as to provide theoret⁃ ical support and technical reference for the efficient and green development and utilization of magnesite re⁃ sources.
