Abstract: The SICOMINES copper-cobalt deposit is located in the Congo (Kinshasa) -Zambia cop⁃ per (cobalt) ore belt. In order to analyze the causes of copper-cobalt enrichment in this area, the geological characteristics of the deposit and the ore body characteristics of the two main ore bodies in the mining area are analyzed, and then the enrichment and distribution of Cu and Co elements in the main ore bodies are expounded. According to the characteristics of the ore body, the characteristics of the ore,the occurrence of Cu and Co elements in the ore,the causes of the enrichment and formation are analyzed. The results show that the high enrichment area of Cu element is formed by oxidation leaching enrichment, and the me⁃ dium-high,medium and low enrichment areas are formed by early sedimentary diagenesis and later region⁃ al metamorphic hydrothermal enrichment. The low enrichment area of Co element is formed by early sedi⁃ mentary diagenesis, regional metamorphic hydrothermal fluid or oxidation leaching enrichment in the late diagenetic stage. The middle and high enrichment areas are formed by early sedimentary diagenesis,re⁃ gional metamorphic hydrothermal fluid and tectonic hydrothermal fluid enrichment in the late diagenetic stage. It is concluded that the deposit is a sedimentary metamorphic-tectonic hydrothermal transformation type deposit.
