Abstract: In order to explore the correlation between oil content and logging curve of oil shale, take Longkou Liangjia Coal Mine as an example, based on the existing logging data, the logging curves of oil shale sections in each borehole are re-contrasted and interpreted to determine their horizons, structure and thickness. Through the correlation study and mathematical statistics analysis of the logging curve and the oil content test results, the least square method is used to find out the correlation between the logging curve and the test results of the oil-bearing strata. The results show that the oil shale layer and coal seam have good reflect characteristics on the logging curve, and the corresponding geological characteristics and horizons can be clearly identified. The thickness distribution of oil shale in each layer is uneven, and the oil content of the selected research layer is high. The relative error between oil content and artificial gamma and apparent resistivity is small, and the correlation is good. It can be applied to the accurate and rapid identification of oil content of oil shale. The research results provide a simple and quick calculation method for the estimation of oil shale oil content.
