Abstract: The application status of coal mine self-rescuer is combed to provide reference for the role and research development of coal mine self-rescuer. By analyzing the basic structure, type, function, wear ing method, use and management maintenance process of coal mine self-rescuer, it is found that improper operation, lack of maintenance and supervision lead to many self-rescuers failing to play their due protective role. Optimizing the components of the self-rescuer, strengthening the training work and improving the management level of the self-rescuer can greatly improve the reliability of the self-rescuer and improve the survival time and survival probability of the underground personnel after the accident.
