Abstract: In order to ensure the stable operation and accurate monitoring of the real aperture radar system，the composition and equipment limitations of the real aperture radar system are analyzed. The de⁃ termination principle of the optimal layout range of radar equipment in a variety of key monitoring areas is proposed，and the basic requirements for the layout of communication system and monitoring center plat⁃ form are discussed. The practice in the northern slope monitoring case of Zhahanaoer Open-pit Coal Mine shows that the strict layout of the real aperture slope radar monitoring system according to the principle can obtain accurate and effective monitoring data，and the monitoring operation is stable and reliable.
