Abstract: Aiming at the problem that the cable dragging of the electric excavator in the production process of Jiusteel Jingtieshan Iron Mine affects the safety of production，an automatic cable retraction de⁃ vice for the electric excavator in open-pit mine is designed.The field application shows that the device real⁃ izes the automatic and unmanned retracting of the high-voltage cable of the open-pit mine electric excava⁃ tor，effectively solves the serious electric shock risk caused by manual dragging of the live high-voltage ca⁃ ble (6 kV)，and ensures the safety of workers.
