Abstract: In order to understand the characteristics of a gold ore in Luonan，Shaanxi Province，the process mineralogy research of the ore was carried out by means of chemical analysis，XRD analysis and large polarizing microscope identification. The characteristics of the gold minerals in the ores，such as the type and morphology，particle size and content，dissemination relationship and occurrence state，have been found out. It is found that the ores belong to a contact metamorphic rock type gold ore with strongly al⁃ tered，which provides detailed basic data for the study of beneficiation process.
