Abstract: In order to promote the progress and application of the magnetic treatment technology of water system，its development history is briefly reviewed in this papper. The variation law in the surface tension，viscosity，conductivity，pH value，oxygen content and other properties of water，solution and pulp in the process of magnetic treatment are summarized to analyze the causes of change and their influence on the flotation process. This paper expounds the research progress on the interaction mechanism of magnetic treatment technology and introduces its application in mineral processing. Magnetic treatment technology， served as a green technology，has the characteristics of improving the recovery of valuable minerals，saving energy consumption and reducing pollution. It is of great significance to protecting the environment，im⁃ proving the beneficiation technology of complex ores in China and enlarging the utilization rate of resources. However，the equipment，technology and theoretical research of magnetic treatment technology are still not perfect，and it is urgent to further develop its production and create more economic value.
