Abstract: The overall characteristics of coal mine accidents in Heilongjiang Province from 2015 to 2021，the types of coal mine property rights，the causes of accidents and the time period of accidents were analyzed to provide support for improving the level of coal mine safety production. The results showed that the coal mine safety production situation in Heilongjiang Province showed an improvement trend. Major and extraordinarily serious accidents are basically eliminated，and general and large accidents need to be strengthened. Gas，roof and transport accidents are the focus of future prevention and control. Season change and statutory holidays are prone to accidents. Combined with the overall characteristics of the acci⁃ dent，it is determined to adjust the industrial structure，improve the emergency rescue system and improve the safety management level as the basis for Heilongjiang coal mine enterprises to improve the safety pro⁃ duction level.
