Abstract: Tieshantou Copper Deposit is located in the middle east of Tongling ore concentration area,belonging to Tongling uplift in the Lower Yangtze depression of the Yangtze block.The deposit is located in the north side of Fenghuangshan ore field,with great metallogenic potential.The comprehensive analysis shows that:①Contact metasomatism makes the contact zone and its vicinity metamorphosed to form skarn mineralization zone;②The Fenghuangshan rock body (granodiorite) is the oreforming parent rock;③The ore body mainly occurs in the contact zone between granodiorite and limestone of nanlinghu formation of Lower Triassic;④The genetic type of the deposit is high to medium temperature hydrothermal metasomatic skarn type.
