Stress Distribution and Microseismic Rules of Zigzagtype Faultcoal Pillars with a Depth of 1 000 m

Abstract: The high stress concentration in the upper coal pillar will lead to the increase of stress in the lower coal seam working face or roadway.The stress distribution in the coal pillar will become more complex due to the irregular shape of coal pillar,which makes the strata behavior regularity appear abnormal in different mining stages under coal pillar.Based on the upper Zigzagtype coal pillar encountered in the 7301 working face with a strong probability of rock burst of Zhaolou Coal Mine,through numerical simulation and field monitoring,the area affected by pillar in lower working face,the strata behavior regularity,the variation rule of microseismic (MS) energy and frequency were analyzed when working face advance to area affected by coal pillars.The results show that:①The stress peak value of coal pillar and Relative position of coal pillar and working face are the important factors to determine the influence range of coal pillar on the working face,coal pillar have the smaller influence on the working face with the smaller stress peak value and far away from the working face.②When the working face is close to the edge and the junction of coal pillar,the MS energy and frequency will reach the peak value,and the amplitude of corresponding MS large energy events will increase,the dominant frequency will decrease,and the main energy will be concentrated in the lowfrequency area.At this time,the working face has the highest risk of rockburst.③ According to the location of the source and the field depressurizing situation,it is determined that the stress concentration area is located at the area under the edge and the junction of the coal pillar.Therefore,the largediameter borehole should be adopted for reducing the stress concentration.
