Abstract: The node virtual flow method is used to calculate the groundwater seepage on the northwest side slope of the tailing pit reconstructed from the Aoshan pit;According to the limit equilibrium method, considering the change of water level in the pit and the softening phenomenon of longterm submerged rock mass, the stability of the slope on the northwest side of the pit is discussed. The results show that when the water level rises no more than 1.7 m and the water level falls no more than 0.5 m,the slope stability of the longterm submerged rock mass does not change much; However, the softening of the rock mass will reduce the longterm stability of the slope. The research results have certain reference value for similar slopes.
