Abstract: In order to efficiently develop and utilize a copper smelting slag in Zambia,takes a copper smelting slag in Zambia as the research object,and through the analysis of the sample chemical composition and process mineralogy characteristics,the copper recovery by flotation method is determined.The flotation reagent system was determined by using xanthate as collector,T336 as foaming agent,sodium sulphide and sodium silicate as adjusting agent.In the end,the samples were processed by the closedcircuit flotation process of one roughing,three cleaning two scavenging,middlings was returned in order to obtain the copper concentrate with a copper grade of 17.32% and a recovery rate of 82.78%.The experiment provides a useful reference for the beneficiation and treatment of this type of copper smelting slag,and the economic benefit is remarkable.
