Abstract: After the open pit mining,a multistep high and steep rock slope is formed.Structural plane are exposed and control the stability of rock slope.Kinematics analysis,which are composed of stereo projection and vector algebra,is widely applied to the stability of rock slope controlled by structural plane.Taking south slope of Panzhihua Zhu Mine as an example in paper,slope is analyzed by kinematics through DIPS software,The results show that the south slope is easy to form wedgeshaped sliding when it is cutted by the dominant joint planes,and the slope is easy to form largescale plane sliding when it is combined with the through joint plane if there is a flow plane.
