Geological Characteristics and Prospecting Indicators of Huwan Tungsten Deposit in Xinxian County,Henan Province

Abstract: Huwan Tungsten Deposit is located in Huwan Town in Xinxian County,Henan Province,it is distributed in the eastern part of QinlingDabie orogenic belt,the mining area is an intracontinental orogenic belt dominated by metamorphism and deformation.Its basic tectonic framework is composed of lenticular weak strain regions (orogenic terrain) and linear strong strain zones (convergent boundary faults).The geological characteristics of metallogenic rock mass and deposit are analyzed in detail,the metallogenic regularities is discussed,besides that,the prospecting indicators are summarized.The results show that:①Huwan Tungsten Deposit is a quartz vein wolframite deposit with high temperature hydrothermal filling,it is mainly controlled by structural fissures,the wolframite mineralized quartz veins mainly occur in the structural fissure zone of garnetbearing mixed granite or gneissic granite;②wolframite ore bodies occur in dense fissures in the outer contact zone of concealed granite bodies and form microfine (feldspar) quartz vein wolframite deposits,while finelarge quartz vein wolframite deposits are formed when high temperature gashydrothermal fluid migrates into the structural fissures of surrounding rocks in the upper part of the rock mass;③the prospecting indicators in the mining area are mainly for EW and NWSE faults in the area,silicification,potassium feldspar,fluorite mineralization,surface black brown limonite,pyrokalium ironvanadium (leadvanadium) and alterations of coated malachite and tonglan,and comprehensive anomalies with W and Mo as the main components.
