Abstract: Transient electromagnetic method (TEM) has strong response to some low resistivity bodies and is widely used in underground hydrogeological survey in coal mines.This method can be used to measure irregular water bodies such as waterbearing structures and underground karst caves to avoid the risk of coal mining.Aiming at the water accumulation and aquifer distribution in goaf during coal mining,the practical application effect of transient electromagnetic method in hydrogeological exploration of a coal mine is analyzed,so as to lay the foundation for the rational development of coal mining.
