Recovery Test and Industrial Practice of Micro-fine Hematite from Dahongshan Based on SLon Continuous Centrifugal Concentrator

Abstract: In order to efficiently recover the -0.045 mm iron minerals in the second-stage high-in⁃ tensity magnetic concentrate of Dahongshan Iron Mine, the semi-industrial test, parameter optimization and industrial application of SLon continuous centrifugal concentrator are carried out to solve the problems of metal distribution rate exceeding 75%, poor separation effect and serious metal loss in the original shaking table process.The test results show that under the conditions of industrial optimal operating parameters of ore feeding concentration of 20%~25%, ore feeding time of 90~110 s, rinsing time of 5~25 s, ore unloading time of 8~15 s, drum speed of 180 r/min, and flushing water pressure of 0.3~0.4 MPa, when the TFe grade of ore feeding is 42%~48%, the iron grade of concentrate obtained by industrial continuous production is 52%~58%, and the iron recovery rate is 55%~66%. The combined process of high-intensity magnetic roughing + centrifuge cleaning + shaker scavenging is adopted. The iron grade of the total concentrate is in⁃ creased from 62.37% of the original process to 63.50%. The annual net economic benefit is about 62.93 million yuan, and the static investment recovery period is about 5.7 months. The combined process is green and environmentally friendly, and the application effect is stable and reliable. It can effectively solve the problem of efficient recovery of fine-grained iron minerals, and the economic benefits are remarkable.
