Abstract: In order to efficiently recover fine-grained low-grade tungsten resources from coppersulfur tailings of Dabaoshan Concentrator in Guangdong,a comparative study of three different processes of direct flotation, full gravity separation and gravity-flotation combination is carried out in view of the technical problems in tungsten recovery. The results show that the tungsten concentrate with WO3 grade of 16.80% and WO3 recovery of 56.00% can be obtained by the traditional full flotation process. Tungsten concentrate with WO3 grade of 44.10% and WO3 recovery of 24.20% can be obtained by full gravity sepa⁃ ration process. Using the combined new process of gravity pre-concentration and tailings flotation, the ex⁃ cellent indexes of WO3 grade of tungsten concentrate of 25.17% and WO3 recovery of 55.85% are ob⁃ tained while the flotation treatment capacity is significantly reduced, and the cost of reagents is greatly reduced, which provides a feasible reference for the efficient recovery of tungsten resources in similar tailings.
