Abstract: In order to improve the separation and recovery of a certain siliceous rock-type fluorite ore in Zhejiang, process mineralogical characteristics, including minerals composition, structure and texture, as well as embedding characteristics of main minerals were systematically analyzed using scanning electron microscope (SEM),advanced mineral identification and characterization system (AMICS),and chemical analysis. The results show that the main valuable mineral is fluorite with an average grade of 36.67%,while the gangue minerals are mainly quartz with grade of 61.33%. Minor gangues such as barite and calcite are present in negligible amounts, with no detectable crystalline phases, confirming its typical siliceous rocktype fluorite ore characteristics. The ore exhibits massive and disseminated structures, with main textures in⁃ cluding anhedral granular and interwoven textures. Fluorite mainly occurs as irregular granular aggregates, closely associated with quartz in fine-grained dissemination. After coarse grinding, the monomer dissocia⁃ tion degree between fluorite and quartz is extremely low, with most existing as rich associated bodies, which negatively impacts the quality of fluorite concentrate. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the re⁃ grinding and re-separation process of rough concentrates to improve separation efficiency.
