Abstract: A preliminary investigation was conducted on the soil environment of an electroplating site. Point sampling and sample collection were carried out for possible heavy metal pollutants (arsenic, cadmium, chromium (hexavalent),copper, lead, mercury, nickel),volatile organic compounds and some semi volatile organic compounds. A total of 6 soil sampling points and 2 groundwater sampling points were arranged. The analysis results show that the concentration of heavy metals and volatile and semi-volatile pollutants in the soil of the site does not exceed the screening value standard of class II Land in“standard for soil environmental quality control of soil pollution risk of construction land”(GB 36600—2018),which does not belong to the polluted land,so there is no need to carry out further detailed investigation of the site soil environment and health risk assessment.
Key words: contaminated soil, environmental survey, groundwater
