Abstract: A low grade quartz type flurite ore in Inner Mongolia contains CaF₂ of 29.36% and SiO₂ of 49.58%. The main useful mineral is fluorite，and the main gangue minerals are quartz，potash feldspar and aluminosilicate minerals and so on. Fluorite is easily dissociated and has been completely dissociated to monomer under the grinding fineness of -0.074 mm accounting for 74.0%. In order to determine the flota⁃ tion process of the ores，colsed-circuit flotation experiments was carried out based on conditional tests， times of cleaning and open-circuit flotation. The results showed that when the grinding fineness of -0.074 mm accounts for 85%，the concentrate with CaF₂ grade of 97.23%，recovery rate of 87.16%，SiO₂ content of 0.75% and CaCO₃ content of 0.87% was obtained in the condition of adopting the flotation process of one roughing，two scavenging，five cleaning and middles returning in sequence. The sodium silicate with modu⁃ lus of 2.3，industrial oleic acid and sodium carbonate was regarded as depressant，collector and pH regula⁃ tor，respectively，which realizes the effective recovery of fluorite.
