Abstract: Taking Jinshandian Iron Mine as the background，this paper analyzes and studies the cur⁃ rent situation and causes of the destruction of the ore chutes in the upper and lower stopes of the east area. In order to reduce the destruction of the ore chutes in the future，for the ore chute that has been put into use，the screens are installed at the ore chute that has been put into use for layering，and the used shaft is closed in sections. For the newly-built chutes，the distance，position，section shape and size of the chutes are determined. These measures have been gradually applied in the actual production of Jinshandian Iron Mine，and have achieved positive results，which has certain reference value for the maintenance of chutes in similar underground metal mines.
