Abstract: Due to the fragmentation of the ore body and the influence of blasting vibration，the ore body of Xiajiadian Gold Mine in Shaanxi is prone to large-scale spalling and roof collapse during the excavation of the roadway. In order to avoid this problem，backhoe loader is used instead of drilling and blasting method. Practice has proved that the backhoe loader operation can effectively reduce the risk of roadway collapse，and has advantages in the aspects of route support，mining efficiency，route filling，safety and environmental protection，which solves the problems in the mining process of complex broken ore body in Xiajiadian Gold Mine.
