Abstract: Strategic emerging industries have become the focus of current and future world economic development,and the supply structure of related mineral resources has undergone new changes.This paper expounds the new demand for mineral resources in China's Industrial Development in the new period,summarizes the strategic emerging industries involved in the key areas,the main direction and mineral needs,comprehensively evaluates the resource endowment,foreigntrade dependence,supply and demand situation of 16 kinds of short supplied mineral resources,and under the new situation,judges that the short supply situation of 6 kinds of traditional mineral resources will be aggravated,such as chromium,nickel,copper,etc;the supply security of 10 kinds of strategic emerging mineral resources will be very prominent,such as cobalt,lithium,beryllium,etc..On this basis,five suggestions are put forward to alleviate the shortage of resources supply in China,which provide reference for the decisionmaking and deployment of mineral resources exploration and development in the new period.
