Abstract: In view of the problem of hard gangue sandwich mining in thin coal seam, this paper puts forward the idea of reasonably using the support pressure of working face to destroy gangue sandwich, and analyzes the influence of support on overburden movement. It is concluded that the stronger the support force is,the better the support force is.The minimum support strength required for roof safety control of stope is calculated to be 0.33 MPa.Based on this, the minimum working resistance of each support is calculated to be 2 200 kN.Finally, the evolution characteristics of support pressure distribution parameters in front of the coal wall were simulated when the support adopted different working resistances, and the influence of the working resistances of the support on the destruction of gangue was analyzed. When the working resistance of the support is 2 200 kN,the vertical stress peak reaches 29.214 MPa,and the destruction depth of gangue lost reaches 0.7 m,which is greater than a cutoff depth and can effectively improve the coal cutting efficiency.
