Abstract: In order to study the law of overburden movement during the mining process of the new type of fully mechanized top coal caving mining face,the 42105 working face of Qinggangping in Xunyi,Shaanxi Province is used as the engineering background,and the numerical simulation analysis method is used to simulate the two ends of the head filling with 5 m respectively.The migration law of overlying strata under the width of 10 m and 20 m filling body shows that with the increasing filling width of the tip,the proportion of filling area to the total length of the working face is increasing,and the range of stress arch formed by the filling part is expanding continuously;When the width of the tip filling is small,the stress arch formed by the fallen area is dominant,and the height of the overlying arch shell is high.
