Test Study on Cement-waste Rock Filling in Maochang Aluminum Mine

Abstract: The amount of waste stone produced by a mine is about 90 000 m3/a,and the amount of waste stone that is currently piled up exceeds the design capacity of the waste yard,the cement-waste rock filling method is proposed.Through test study of the cement-waste rock filling material and strength design required for the quarry,the cement-waste filling ratio is obtained,the water-grey ratio was selected as 0.6 and the ash-waste ratio is determined as 0.2.Through industrial test,the strength of the backfilling body can meet the stope mining requirements.Besides that,from the two-step back-picking revealed the effect of filling,the backfilling body has the characteristics of high jacking rate,good stability and homogeneity,which can provide reliable support for the two-step safe mining operation,the recovery rate of the stope is improved more than 15%,the economical benefits are significant,the discharge problem of waste ore of the mine is solved,which is helpful for making full use of waste rock and realizing the goal of non-waste mining.
