Abstract: Based on the analysis of tectonic geological characteristics of Longshujiao ore-bearing fault belt (Ⅱ-11# ore-bearing fault belt) in Gejiu mining area in Yunnan Province,the formation mechanism (tectonic movement of strata and the physical process of sedimentation and movement of metallogenic material) of the fault belt is discussed,the results show that the metallogenic areas of Longshujiao ore-bearing fault belt are mainly for fault entrainment belt,intersection part of fault and interlayer (stratigraphic),fault roof part,fault branches compound part and fault transition part.Based on the above analysis results,the favorable prospecting indicators of Geijiu mining area are mainly for metal element zoning,structure,surrounding rock alteration and geochemical primary halo,the intersection part of fault and interlater (stratigraphic),fault transition part,acute angle capture belt of fault intersection,fault belt branches compound parts are the favorable prospecting parts of the mining area.
